Guy Pfanz became involved with coffee at an early age. His mother was active in culinary arts and she educated him about espresso and cappuccinos. Guy’s calling however was to be a pastor. Although ministering was important, his interest in coffee remained strong. As a result, coffee became a valuable hobby.
In 1993, Guy started his first profit sharing coffee bar with a friend in an ice cream shop. With that success, several other shops were launched in comparable businesses. His passion for coffee became more than a hobby. In 1995, Guy began to purchase espresso machines with the hope of developing a business to sell and consult with others in establishing specialty coffee bars. Here Guido’s Espresso Equipment began.
Guy immersed himself into the world of specialty coffee, learning the art of roasting, extracting, pouring, purchasing quality coffee beans and other products and teaching others this distinctive art. Here, Guy took his two passions and coupled them together; he began to merge coffee bars and churches together. Since that time, Guy has inspired 13+ roasting companies, created Coffee Magazine Video, invented several types of specialty equipment and instituted a Master’s level Barista training school.
The third-wave coffee experience is Guys passion for himself and other coffee connoisseurs around the world.
